Change Your Thinking

change your thinking

Change your thinking. We’ve all heard this before. I heard this one from Wayne Dyer, ‘change the way you look at things and the things you look at change’.  It is really just that simple, but not always easy, if it’s ever easy.

Here’s the idea, if you’re assuming that the same thinking is gonna be OK for situations and you don’t have a desire to understand, grow, learn how to respond better…. you’re screwed.

Here’s one of my favorite quotes:

“No problem can be solved with the same level of consciousness that created it”
~ Albert Einstein

When you are dealing with practically anything in life understand this fact: Your best thinking got you tochange your thinking the point you are now. So if you don’t like where you are or a results that you are getting, you need to change your thinking.

I find it interesting that people sometimes will refer to certain programs as “brainwashing” but they won’t admit that their brain may need to be washed.

Here’s what I know.  I have changed everything about the way I think today as compared to the way I allowed myself to think just one short year ago, covered in my book Living in the Pause, and I can tell you from experience that the NEW way of thinking and the changes I have made are a blessing, a new gift every day, and more rewarding than I could have ever imagined.

But it’s a daily practice to change your thinking. It’s not something that allows me to do the work once and then let my brain run on auto-pilot. It have to be ‘front of mind’ all the time.

Here’s something to consider. If you’re having any thoughts that may involve judgement, criticism, or condemnation, you are resonating at a level below your potential based on the fact that you are a spiritual being with a little bit of God in you. Even if you have a hard time with the concept of God… ask yourself, ‘If there was a God that I would consider believing in, would He be proud of my thoughts about this or that?’

Something to consider. Take the time to slow down, get still, get quiet, and watch your thoughts. Then question them. Ask yourself if they are true. Change your Thinking!
